UD BLUESOX

Kevin McGovern struck out 13 batters as the pitcher led Bluesox past Narberth Outsiders 3-1 on Friday at 80 Windsor Ave Narberth, PA 19072. Kevin McGovern gave up six hits and one run over seven innings while walking none.

Both teams were strong on the bump. Bluesox pitchers struck out 13, while Narberth Outsiders sat down six.

Bluesox got on the board in the top of the first inning after John Dunion singled down the right field line, and Peter Bozzone grounded out, each scoring one run.

Robby Grasso took the loss for Narberth Outsiders. The pitcher went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking five. Dylan Labukas stepped on the hill first for Narberth Outsiders. The lefty surrendered four hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two.

Matthew Szychulski, Peter Bozzone, and John Dunion each drove in one run for Bluesox. John Dunion led Bluesox with two hits in three at bats. Matthew Szychulski led Bluesox with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Bluesox ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game.

Garrett Friend led Narberth Outsiders with two hits in three at bats. Tom Kozlusky stole two bases. Narberth Outsiders turned one double play in the game.

Bluesox will travel to Knights for their next game on Monday.
