Bluesox and Wayne Baseball tied 4-4 on Thursday at 1701 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.

Bluesox got on the board in the first inning after Sam Wright homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Wayne Baseball tied the game in the top of the seventh thanks to a double by Alden Mathes, and a single by Jake McDonough.

Chase Ecker pitched four innings in relief for Bluesox. The hurler gave up two hits and one run while, striking out five and walking four. Nick Dieva started on the hill for Bluesox. The starter allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking one. Austin Havertine started the game for Wayne Baseball. The hurler allowed one hit and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three.

Matthew Szychulski, Christian Strickland, Sammy Burman, and Sam Wright each collected one hit for Bluesox. Matthew Szychulski and Sam Wright each drove in two runs for Bluesox.

Alden Mathes provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Wayne Baseball with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Jake McDonough led Wayne Baseball with two hits in four at bats. Steven Wells led Wayne Baseball with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Wayne Baseball didn’t commit a single error in the field. Matt Kane had the most chances in the field with eight.
