UD BLUESOX

It came down to the wire on Saturday, as Bluesox grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 4-3, over Narberth Outsiders. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run.

Bluesox were the first to get on the board in the first when a passed ball scored one run.

Narberth Outsiders took the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Jack Stead doubled to left field, and Caleb Bachman singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Chase Cherny doubled to left field following a 8-pitch at-bat, which helped Bluesox tie the game at two in the bottom of the fourth.

Narberth Outsiders took the lead in the top of the eighth. Garrett Friend singled, scoring one run, to give Narberth Outsiders the edge, 3-2.

Bluesox captured the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the eighth after Shawn Levan walked, and Narberth Outsiders committed an error, each scoring one run.

Kevin McGovern earned the win for Bluesox. The pitcher surrendered five hits and three runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 11 and walking three. Carsten Kaiser took the loss for Narberth Outsiders. The pitcher went four innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking two.

Dylan Thompson, Ant Kelly, Chase Cherny, Shawn Levan, Mcclain, and Wright each collected one hit for Bluesox. Chase Cherny led Bluesox with one run batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Shawn Levan led Bluesox with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Bluesox turned one double play in the game.

Tommy Belman and Garrett Friend each collected two hits for Narberth Outsiders. Jack Stead and Caleb Bachman each drove in one run for Narberth Outsiders.
